Dr Janet Reid Hector was elected President- Elect for the New Jersey Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics June 1st 2018- May 31st 2019; elected President of the New Jersey Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics for the term June 1st 2019- May 31st 2020; and served as Immediate Past- President for the New Jersey Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics for the term June 1st 2020- May 31st 2021. 2018-2021
Congratulations to Janet Reid Hector, Ed.D RD for receiving the Distinguished Member Award at the New Jersey Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics 90th Annual Conference, April 20th, 2023. This is the highest honor the NJ Academy awards to a member annually. 2023

Primary Investigator, February, 2024. Examining the Role of Nutritional Status , and Nutrition Biomarkers in Promulgating Risk Factors for Maternal Complications and Mortality in Non-Hispanic Black Women: A systematic Review.
1A.Evaluation of the factors that mitigate GP student’s success in timely completion of the capstone GP; and determine whether and how the online enhanced structured, first semester GP course may facilitate student progress in completing the capstone project, as well as, larger departmental outcomes assessment; through the three (3) year Rutgers eIRB: IRB Approval Issued for Study # Pro20160000031 by Janet Reid-Hector Title: Evaluation of Factors that Influence Online Graduate Student Progression to Completion of Capstone Project and Degree - A Model for Graduate Student Success- 2015-2019 1B. Dr Reid Hector’s research on “Factors Influencing Online Graduate Student Progress: A Model for Graduate Student Success” has been accepted for a 30-minute concurrent session presentation at the 2019 Lilly-Bethesda Conference- on Designing Effective Teaching. May 30th- June 2nd 2019.
