Title Details
T.J. Hunt, PhD, RHIA, CHDA, FAHIMA  2022 Dr. Hunt joined the faculty of Rutgers University in 2017. He is an Assistant Professor in the School of Health Profession's Department of Health Informatics. He previously served as Associate Dean and Professor at Davenport University. Before transitioning to higher education Dr. Hunt served in leadership roles with Sparrow Health System, ProMedica Health System, and Mercy Health Partners. He is a past-president of the Michigan Health Information Management Association (MHIMA) and the Lake Huron Health Information Management Association. He previously served on the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) Nominating Committee and led the AHIMA Communities of Practice Committee as Chairperson. He is currently serving on the Commission on Certification for Health Informatics and Information Management (CCHIIM). Dr. Hunt has presented at the International Federation of Health Information Management Associations (IFHIMA) Congress and General Assembly, AHIMA Convention and Exhibit, AHIMA Assembly on Education, and MHIMA State Conference. Dr. Hunt earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Indiana Institute of Technology in Global Leadership with a concentration in Organizational Management. He is a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) through AHIMA, and has been recognized as a Fellow of AHIMA for service and contribution to the Health Information Management profession.
